About me

Hi, I’m Mateusz. A level designer currently living in northern Poland – Kołobrzeg.

My first contact with level design goes way back, all the way to elementary school.
A few friends and I were running a private server for Tibia, an MMO game. I was in charge of building the world: towns, hunting areas, and quests. I still remember the joy of seeing other players explore the places I had created, trade with NPCs, or just hang out in town. That experience planted the seed for what would later become a true passion.

I specialize in crafting experiences across action-adventures , first-person shooters, and platformers using Unreal Engine 5. Some of the titles that shaped my perspective include Crash Bandicoot, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike. Yes, I seem to have a soft spot for Naughty Dog.

Outside of level design, I’m a huge fan of film. Great cinematography shares a lot with great level layout: it’s all about framing, pacing, and guiding the eye. Studying how visual stories are told helps me approach level design with a more cinematic mindset.

I’m always looking for new ways to grow, learn, and design experiences that players will remember long after the credits roll.

Let’s talk!
